(en) I found this one on a hiking trip in the northern states. It was more of a discovery than a wish to find. Since it was hardly indicated on any map I thought that I missed the correct way to find this monument.
The strange sandcastle of this photo (en) is located in Ochs, Osnabrück. In the foreground you can see the twin structure of the duck house; the highlight is the large, impressive sandcastle.

The Lüneburg Heath (Riesenfeld) is a meadowland in the northernmost part of the German state of Lower Saxony. The largest hill is the “Hoher Stein” (“Higher Stone”) at a height of 175 metres, which is the highest point of the Lüneburg Heath.
